The 7 Things You Can Do to Improve Your Love Life Before Summer Is Over

Yikes! It’s already July. How did that happen? Summer is a great time to meet people because everyone is out enjoying the weather, trying new activities, and being social, but as summer breezes by, you might miss out on the opportunity to find the one. Here are a few things you should do to make sure you find the right person to spend Labor Day with:

1. Watch a movie outside

You know your town has one - that field you can go watch a movie in outdoors. Everyone brings their blankets and picnics with friends. You’re single so you go to that, right? If not, this summer is the time. Enjoy some outdoor relaxation and a nice cheese plate, and you’ll find it easier than ever to meet singles on a Wednesday evening.

  1. Go to a ball game

Even if you’re not a super sports fan, baseball games epitomize summer fun, and they are also a great way to meet people. Grab a few friends and don’t be afraid to talk to that cute guy sitting behind you - it’s a guaranteed good time.

  1. Eat lobster

You might not live in Maine (but especially if you do!), don’t forget to eat lobster with someone this summer. Just the act of sharing messy hands on food can be a bonding experience, and can enhance your connection with someone. And even if there’s not a spark with the girl or guy, you’re at least guaranteed a good meal.

  1. Play mini golf

Golf gets a bad rap. It’s slow, and even its pro athletes aren’t exactly in peak physical condition. But mini golf? Everyone loves mini golf. It’s like the one sport everyone can play, and guess what - it makes the best date ever. There's one in your town, all you have to do is find it.

  1. Make s’mores

When was the last time you went camping? Second grade? Change that this summer. Get a few friends together and rent a campsite at a local or state park - camp sites are everywhere! It can be a perfect time to get your friends to bring someone new, and trust us, telling stories around a campfire is the perfect way to get to know someone.

  1. Buy fresh

These days, farmer’s markets are year-round, but farmers’ markets during the summer are simply the best. From melons to peaches, the food is juicy and delectable, but did you ever stop and think about how many attractive people are at the farmer’s market each week? Get your head out of the strawberries and don’t forget to say hello.

  1. Head to the beach

If I could judge a potential match on their sandcastle skills, I would. While that’s probably not the best tactic, the beach is the ultimate pickup zone. Shed any fears about your beach body because confidence wins no matter what, and say hi to those hotties on the towel next to you. Not near the beach? Seems like a good excuse for a weekend trip to me.

So go forth and embrace July flirting. Go get that summer fling, or if you're lucky, maybe even the real thing.
